Dream Raider by K. C. Webb

The Indie Book of the Day for 5th of January, 2013!

Genre: Fantasy, Action & Adventure

‘A creepy cool action adventure where Dean Koontz meets the Goonies!’ Johnny Marsh is different. For John the mysterious and unknown is not something to be afraid of. When he was a child he wasn’t afraid of the monster under the bed; he would go looking for it. He has an aura of dread around him and people keep their distance. Then there are his dreams. In his dreams, John enters worlds that are beyond most people’s wildest imaginings.

When Peter Wright – the school nerd – enlists John’s help in understanding the vivid dream that has been terrorising him, John has no idea that his investigations will take them on a journey into the heart of evil, where unimaginable terrors will test their courage.

Before their journey is over, John and Pete will meet terrifying creatures and have nightmares they may never wake from. In search for the truth they uncover evil that has been devastating lives for over four thousand years.

For John to survive, he will need to embrace the truth that is revealed to him and make his stand against the Dream Raider.

Four-teen years ago, at the age of thirty-three Kev discovered writing as his new calling and pursued this with passion. This turning point in Kev’s life was the beginning of his own personal adventure, the inception of the first Johnny Marsh Adventure novel, Dream Raider.

Kev immigrated to Australia in 1971 with his parents, settling in Brisbane Australia. Kev is qualified in two trades and has had to fit his writing around his work commitments. Over the years Kev has drawn his inspiration from books, films and even video games. Kev has been married for over twenty-seven years to his wife Tracey, who together have two sons.

As Kev discovered his path as a writer, this point in time also marked another pivotal moment in Kev’s writing career as he partnered up with artist and marketer Anthony Puttee. The two have been long time friends and the idea of working with Kev creating this new world and characters was irresistible.

Together the two have developed the Johnny Marsh series over the years as Anthony became the concept artist developing ideas for story points and world development. It’s a rare working relationship as the writing inspires the artwork and the artwork in turn inspiring the writing with character details yet to be revealed in upcoming books, which were fleshed out through visual concepts over ten years ago.

Together they are currently working on Book 2 in the Johnny Marsh Adventure series, Soul Trader: A Johnny Marsh Adventure. The two together founded the website JohnnyMarsh.Net where they share the stories, freebies, announce event information, and share there writing adventures.

You can find out more about Kev Webb and Anthony Puttee at the website JohnnyMarsh.Net, along with giveaways and the free weekly story ‘Pete’s Diary’ an online companion to the novel Dream Raider: A Johnny Marsh Adventure.
